WebRTC
WebRTC is a set of technologies that allow real-time communication without plugins. We’ve built WebRTC video chat and screen sharing into our web editor. If you have Firefox or Chrome, you can video chat with no plugins. Chrome also supports screen sharing.
To start video chat with another user, simply click on their thumbnail. Either party can stop video chat by clicking on the X in the upper-right of the thumbnail. Clicking on an active video thumbnail makes it full screen. Video chat requires edit permission in the workspace.
Another feature of our web editor is mugshots. To turn on mugshots, check Settings → Mugshots.
Enabling mugshots causes your thumbnail picture to update every 60 seconds. To distinguish it from video chat, the image is grayscale.
Screen Sharing
Floobits provides a Chrome extension to share your desktop in workspaces. After installing it, Go to Collaborate → Share Screen.
